Her talents and passion for culinary arts did not stop there. As the chef returned home to the San Francisco Bay Area, she found herself being commissioned for weddings, parties, and
community events. Word of mouth continued to spread about her use of fresh ingredients, imaginative recipes, and unmatched customer service and so, too, did her popularity in the community. In just a few years, it was obvious that she needed to follow her culinary dream and
open up her own business.

Thus, Taste of K-Way was born. Established in 2018, Chef LaKia springboard as a successful
private chef offering private in-home dining, party, and event services. Named after the childhood nickname “Kia” that her mother gave her, Taste of K-Way paid homage to both nostalgic humble
beginnings, as well as the chefs vision for the future.

Since the opening, the chef has experienced exponential growth and expanded her clientele beyond what she had ever dreamed. As she continues to look to the future, the chef promises to provide each and every client and customer a personalized culinary experience that exceeds their expectations.
